ADA rules are more balanced than the critics

Article Abstract:

Critics of the Americans with Disabilities Act argue that employers will be unfairly and unreasonably burdened by being asked to provide reasonable accommodations and that employees who are not really mentally ill will take advantage of the law. In fact, employers have the right to request reasonable documentation of mental illness and what constitutes a reasonable accommodation will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Making it possible for the mentally ill to work and contribute to society is much better and cheaper than funding public services for them.

Article Abstract:

The state of the economy will be the main area of concern for Zhy Rongji as he becomes China's new prime minister. He has already gained a strong reputation as China's economic policy expert, and has succeeded in reducing inflation and limiting economic growth. However, he still faces very tough challenges. He aims to take a very strict line, and will not hesitate to dismiss incompetent managers of state enterprises. He also aims to reduce the civil service by 4 million people and to address the problem of 37 million surplus workers in the state sector.
