U.N. honors 50th anniversary of WFUNA

Article Abstract:

The WFUNA works for the ideals of the United Nations Charter. It is the only nongovernmental body to have such an objective. Members come from 90 countries. The art on the stamps are reproduced from the works of Swiss artist Rudolf Mirer. A souvenir card will also be issued Feb. 2, 1996.

Stamp honors 75th anniversary of manufacturers association

Article Abstract:

The stamp issued on Apr 17, 1996 depicts an integrated circuit and a printed cardboard to symbolize achievements in the semiconductor and electronics industries. One of the earliest Jewish factories in Palestine was a 1880 well filters firm in Neve Tsedek, the present-day Jaffa, Israel.
