Mercury Drug Corporation honored by the Philippines

Article Abstract:

The drug store chain was started in 1945 by Marino Que who began by selling the 'wonder drug' sulfathiazole. The company grew to be a leader in customer service and good customer relations. It is the only drugstore chain in the nation's 20 top businesses. The stamp, issued Aug 15, 1995, is described.

United Nations honored with series of stamps

Article Abstract:

Four horizontal 60-cent stamps are in the se-tenant block which celebrates the 50 years of the UN. Peace, human rights, education and agriculture are the themes. Two $2 souvenir sheets, one with the UN logo and the other featuring the Foods and Agricultural Organization, were also issued.
