St. Louis Postmaster Provisionals on display

Article Abstract:

The collection of St Louis Bear stamps were amassed by the late Margie Fairman. Her life and interest in philately are discussed. The bear stamps were put on sale in 1845. The history of their engraving and composition is recounted, as well as the history of the stamps and their usage.
