'Return to sender' FDC's & a leap year FDC

Article Abstract:

An unusual FDC type is created when an incident makes a letter on that day, undeliverable. Such events include a 1975 Canadian postal strike, and a German invasion of the Channel Islands in 1940. The only US stamp issued on Leap Year Day, Feb 29, was a 1988 stamp honoring the Conestoga Wagon.
