Wow! A showcase for spectacular images and how they were made

Article Abstract:

An East Indian photographer wanted to capture the moment when river bathing takes place for the elephants that are brought to this marketplace. It was an early morning scene filled with plenty of sunlight at the back of the photographer who was in a rowboat. Kodachrome 200 was used.

How to "meter" with your P/S

Article Abstract:

Autofocus cameras usually lock in both the exposure and the autofocus measurements when the shutter is pressed halfway. The key to adjusting the exposure is to aim the lens at a lighter or darker area before taking the photo of the desired subject.
