Paul Scheurich at Meissen

Paul Scheurich is acknowledged to be one of the 20th century's greatest modelers. Samples of his work for the prestigious German firm Meissen include porcelain figures inspired by Russian ballet and world dance such as "Harlequin and Columbine" and "Masked Dancer."

Doccia porcelain

Article Abstract:

The Doccia porcelain company gained prominence during the 18th century by creating fine pieces for the Saxony and Tuscan royalties. The Italian firm, founded by nobleman Carlo Ginori, produced items, such as tobacco jars, snuff boxes, and reliefs.

Help please! I have large porcelain horse. Purchased from Hutschenreuther in 1960 when traveling around the world. It is impressed Prof. Scheurich on base. this horse is large 50cm by 60cm. Like new. Bottom has Hutschenreuther mark from before 1969. I have tried to find a value. I have been told less the $200.00 to almost $8000.00. help please
