Fast Asian green for fall: plant these quick-growers now, and enjoy and sweet and spicy harvest before season's end

Asian greens are a great contribution to an organic garden because they grow quickly in fall, have nutritional value and add aesthetic touches. On average, they require 45 days to mature in soil that has to be kept moist and nourished with fish fertilizer or liquid kelp.

Harvest super salads from small spaces

A 107 pound vegetable yield was harvested from a Rodale Institute Research Center organic garden only 40 sq ft in area. Tips on planting small-space gardens are given, along with a salad gardening calendar and a list of sources.
