Raise high the broad bean: for cold hardiness and taste, favas have no peer

Article Abstract:

Favas belong to the legume family and have the combined nutty flavor of peas and beans. They are easy to shell and can produce three cups of beans with only four dozen pods. They are tasty in soups and salads, and can be eaten raw if preferred.
