Porches may be constructed to control sunlight into the home and unify architectural themes in spite of topographical variations. One home in San Antonio, TX, became more interesting with the construction of two porches on different topographical levels.

Porches screened for comfort

Article Abstract:

Screened porches are regaining popularity, especially in the South where screens are necessary to keep out insects and provide all-weather protection. The porches are utilitarian and serve as living and dining spaces.
