CW president Krawczyk resigns to pursue sr. vp post at Wickes

Article Abstract:

Contractors Warehouse (CW) president Dave Krawczyk has resigned to become senior VP of operations, a new position, at Wickes Lumber. Krawczyk was instrumental to the growth of CW, Grossman's Inc's leading division. CW's concept is sound, but the unit will need a strong leader to replace Krawczyk, according to BDS Securities analyst Adam Moskowitz. CW focuses on the contractor market.

Solid work brings repeat business

Warwick, RI, carpenter Ron Lucier discovered, in building a home for an individual, that local lumberyard Coutu Lumber provides good serivce and low prices. He noted that the yard's new owner, the former owner's son, has made an effort to please his contractor customers. Lucier was fortunate to have a job, a garage addition, during the 1996 pre-holiday season.
