Culp splits into four divisions

Culp has split its management into four divisions that include Culp Decorative Fabrics, Culp Velvet/Prints, Philips Weaving and Artee Yarns. The move replaces an organization, composed of 14 separate reporting arrangements, according to Culp chief executive officer Rob Culp. The reorganization also offers corporate advantages such as increase in managerial productivity and improved efficiency in the firm's information systems, he said. Culp also named Frank Saxon, who continues as corporate senior vice president and chief financial officer, as president of the Culp/Velvet Prints operation.
