Kelly and Cohen emerges from Chapter 11

Article Abstract:

Kelly and Cohen of Atlanta, GA, a retailer of bedroom specialty products, has recovered from bankruptcy protection and its two stores are performing profitably, stated company president Irv Klayman. The company, which filed for Chapter 11 protection from its creditors in January 1998, has promised to pay its unsecured creditors about 30% of its debts prior to the filing. Kelly and Cohen, whose major creditors include Comfort Rest, American Pacific, Halcyon, Classic, The Monday Co. and TimberCrest, has resumed retail operations at two of its four locations.

Ikea drops plan to open 3rd N.Y. store
