The 1997 Video Positive festival of international video and electronic art is made up of more than 20 installations at 12 locations in Manchester and Liverpool, England. The theme of Escaping Gravity is designed to highlight both the attractions and dangers of new technology as the 21st century approaches. Exhibitors include leading Australian computer-animation artist Jon McCormack, English artist Graham Gussin, Amsterdam-based Jaap de Jonge and Australia Lyndal Jones.
