Stanley plant in N.C. celebrates 2-million-hour safety milestone

Stanley Furniture celebrated the outstanding record of its Robbinsville, North Carolina plant. The plant has not seen any lost-time accidents for over two million consecutive hours. Stanley handed out commemorative shirts and jackets to the plant's workers in celebration of the record.

Webb to close BR factory, become industry supplier

The planning of Galax, Virginia based case goods manufacturer Webb Furniture to close its bedroom furniture plant here in January, laying off 309 production and administrative workers and to become a supplier to other manufacturers at its particle board and mirror plant is discussed.

Stanley to trim workforce
