95,070 pounds sterling compensation to employee who suffered almost daily racial abuse

Article Abstract:

The judgment in Pachappen v Accor (UK) Ltd. t/a Ibis Hotel, case no.2203619/02, is discussed. The case related to Mr. Pachappen, a Hindu Tamil of Malaysian origin who was racially abused on a daily basis by Mr. Rofail, the general manager of Ibis Heathrow, who was of Arab origin. The tribunal gave a total award of 95,070 sterling pounds in this case.
