An improved subordinate appraisal of bank managers' competence

Article Abstract:

There is a need to assess the interpersonal skills and participative management style of a candidate for a managerial position in banking, according to the results of a follow-up study to BANKCOMP, an instrument designed to assess bank branch managers' competence. Human resource managers and trainers must focus on and boost the interpersonal skills and participative management style of managerial candidates, along with those already in management positions.

Comparative performance appraisal practices and management values among foreign and domestic firms in India

Article Abstract:

Performance appraisal practices and management values in India were compared among foreign and domestic firms in India. Differences in Indian private investor corporations, private family businesses, public sector enterprises and foreign or joint ventures were examined to help managers selectively adapt to firms in the changing Indian economy.
