An introduction to expatriate assignment policies

Article Abstract:

Human resource (HR) managers for multinational corporations must be cognizant of what is termed as 'immediately needed knowledge.' This is information which can be easily obtained by an international HR manager to accomplish various responsibilities. These include topics such as common terms related to international assignments, tax equalization, double tax treaties, international compensation strategies, global stock options, pension planning for overseas employees, and healthcare and emergency assistance services.

Building a global workforce for a global economy

Article Abstract:

The trend towards a global business environment makes it imperative for multinational corporations to develop centers of authority in countries where they maintain operations and train and equipped local managers with the right technological tools. These goals can be achieved if multinationals would adopt an international human resource strategy centered on finding the right people to steer the company towards success.
