Diversity management in Germany: dissemination and design of the concept

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to identify factors that influence the implementation of diversity management in Germany. A total of 210 companies were used in the study. Results show a sharp increase in the use of diversity management in the country. A country-of-origin effect for subsidiaries of US multinational companies in Germany was also identified.

Strategy, power and negotiation: social control and expatriate managers in a German multinational corporation

Article Abstract:

A study demonstrating that expatriates are used mainly for social control by the head offices of multinational corporations, is presented. The ethnographic study is done on expatriates in a London office of a German multinational corporation.
