How I see the human resource function

Article Abstract:

Retiring Trustee Savings Bank (TSB) chmn John Read has seen many changes in personnel management, but he believes it is an integral part of any successful financial services company. Running a business that has a talented workforce and is monetarily successful requires good personnel managers that are knowledgable about workforce trends and can carefully plan for personnel needs. Personnel managers must also be able to hire high-quality employees. Read notes that ultimately a successful company depends on strong leadership to give the company a focused direction.

Must pensions always be a turn-off?

Article Abstract:

Positive employee communication on any topic can result if the following suggested guidelines are used: do not assume knowledge; keep things simple; and communicate in employee terms.
