Effects of strategic human resource management on strategic vision

Article Abstract:

There are many factors that may contribute to the achievement of an organization's strategic vision. These are mostly rewards systems, strategic human resource planning, training and development, recruitment and selection, the form of organizational structure, leadership and the commitment of employees. It can be argued that a strategic vision emerges when the human resource functions are strategic and effective managers control a committed workforce. It is clear that the human resource department should not be seen as merely a support or staff function.

In search of competence: aligning strategy and competences in the telecommunications industry

Article Abstract:

It is established that the best way to progress in the making of a novel managerial approach is connecting competence to the strategy of the firm. Based on a survey conducted among firms of Brazilian telecommunications industry, the relation between organizational strategy and competence management is discussed elaborately.

HRM configurations in Korean venture firms: resource availability, institutional force and strategic choice perspectives

Article Abstract:

Two ideal sorts of human resource management (HRM) configurations, namely control-based human resource system (CBHRS) and high-performing human resource system (HPHRS), are discussed. The discussion is based on data from 464 venture firms in Korea.
