Examining the link between skill shortages, training composition and productivity levels in the construction industry: evidence from Northern Ireland

Article Abstract:

A study on availability of skilled labor for construction industry in Northern Ireland is presented. In this context, the factors that result in shortages like inability of training providers to absorb technological changes related to the industry, employment structure within the industry, etc., are discussed. The effect of such shortages on productivity of the industry is also analyzed.

Runuaway digger costs firm pounds 43000

Article Abstract:

The details pertaining to the fine levied on Walters' Demolition, after one of its 20-tonne vehicle crushed and injured a toddler, are presented. The driver had failed to park the digger with its bucket raised rather than on ground. The firm is expected to pay pounds 42000.
