'Front-end' systems rescue plan sponsors from 401(k) administration burdens

Article Abstract:

Front-end systems are valuable tools for plan administration. These allow the employer to perform plan maintenance responsibilities efficiently and cost effectively. Onsite 401(k) software programs, as they may be referred to, perform daily valuation functions by a different sequence from the traditional method. These feature payroll reconciliation within a few hours and streamlined loan processing. Moreover, front-end systems avoid duplicate data entry and transaction delays.
