Signs of the times

Article Abstract:

The signage requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE), including clothing that protects the employees from health and safety risks in the workplace are highlighted. Due to the nature of hazardous areas, care should be taken to ensure that signs are manufactured from a material that is not affected by the hazard and they should be maintained regularly and replaced immediately.

What is PUWER and how do I implement it in my company?

Article Abstract:

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) was introduced to give employers prescriptive guidance on how to provide safe equipment and machinery in the workplace. An employer needs to carry out inspection of all work equipments to make sure it meets the basic PUWER requirements.
