Article Abstract:

Health and safety is often not given the priority it deserves as many senior managers do not see its relevance to key business processes, according to David Eves, deputy director general of the Health and Safety Executive. The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health has recently introduced Safety for Senior Executives, a course which aims to increase awareness of health and safety by senior managers.
