The reservoir of infinite possibilities

Article Abstract:

The existing profusion of possibilities in the field of benefits and compensation must be acknowledged and be sufficiently tapped. Multinational companies have evolved to become more focused entities, thus instilling various individual characteristics, such as self-reliance and versatility which enable both employers and employees to gather appropriate bounties. The arena of benefits and compensation encompasses a diversity of concerns, including politics, investment, economics, human resources and the law, yet the relationship between employer and employees binds all those various aspects together.

Employee participation plans in Europe - building personal financial autonomy

Article Abstract:

Policymakers in many European countries agree that social protection systems should foster individual autonomy, rather than foster collective responsibility for an individual's social security. Some European countries have already adopted systems that encourage personal financial independence through company-sponsored employee financial participation plans. Other ways to encourage personal financial responsibility include capital accumulation plans in the form of profit-sharing, share ownership via employee share ownership and/or share-purchase plans and stock options.

The Irish solution - is an uncomplicated pension system enough?

Article Abstract:

Ireland's pensions regulatory system has so far been successful in meeting the pension industry's needs. Instituted with the help of various groups, government agencies and the pension industry, the system has enjoyed widespread support and acceptance, which can partly be credited to the unwillingness of the Irish government to institute short-term, politically motivated improvements. Although the country faces several pensions-related problems, including an aging population and unemployment, the present pension structure is equipped to meet these challenges.
