Technical information could be made more easy to digest with the use of information illustrations. The benefits of illustration include: accurate recording of technology in an accessible way; boosting interest in dry topics; and communication across language barriers. Manufacturers, and cultural and educational organisations have been slow to take up illustration as an informative concept; while although it is currently employed in publishing there is scope for improvement.

'E.R.' is one of those shows that makes people not regret they did not become doctors. The stress on the characters' lives and the pressures that seem to make sex unlikely and endless work for no appreciation only add to the human appeal of the show. It almost makes the TV viewer believe how simple life is outside the hospital emergency room.
