Improving delivery of STD prevention and control services: recommendations for purchasers of health care benefits

Article Abstract:

Measures taken to prevent and control Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) services are represented, managed by public health agencies. Most of the STD clinics have been closed, privatized, or became a part of health plan network. In clinical practices and procedures of administration care for public health standard for STD was reflected. To care health benefits, purchasers were recommended about STD clinics.

Incentive compensation in a reengineered unionized health care setting

Article Abstract:

Mount Sinai Medical Center of New York was able to improve employee performance trough the implementation of its Employee Incentive Compensation Program. The program produced chart return improvements stabilized at the 98% to 99% level, patient satisfaction improvements which may also be attributed to patient-focused care redesign and improvements in meeting the base target expense index.

Many hospitals and medical facilities are initiating high dose chemotherapy and bone marrow rescue/support programs because of its potential prestige and profits, but the studies in medical literature that report positive results from this procedure have been uncontrolled.
