The 1992 congressional redistricting and its effect on the title industry

Article Abstract:

The redistricting of congressional districts after the 1990 census will have mixed effects on the title insurance industry. Representatives who have supported the industry in the past are facing tough re-election races in altered or new districts and may choose not to run for re-election. Several vacancies are expected in the House Banking Committee due to redistricting, and the industry will have to work to gain new allies from the new members who are assigned to the Committee.
