The role of employee financial planning in an integrated financial security model

Article Abstract:

Employers may be able to assist their employees in planning for retirement by creating a financial planning program. An employer would have to consider factors such as identifying needs, addressing financial planning topics, relating the program to other benefit plans and choosing an appropriate vendor for the program. These vendors may include fee-based planners or commissioned insurance agents. The program should include financial planning seminars.
