Alliances after peace in Korea

Article Abstract:

Peace on the Korean Peninsula may take several forms and it will drastically alter the strategic environment, forcing all those involved to reassess their military postures and alignments. The discussion on the future of certain alliances should be imminent to provide a sense of direction ad predictability for the countries involved. While the North Korean threat exists there is a political basis on which to debate issues of trilateral concern.

Kashmir: Sources of Conflict, dimensions of peace

Article Abstract:

The bitter confrontation between India and Pakistan, particularly their long running dispute over Kashmir, presents a grave threat to global peace and security. Resolving the issue will need restraint from and dialogue between new Delhi and Islamabad. Other peace-process models, such as in Northern Ireland are considered in the context of seeking a long-term framework for softening conflicts of loyalty and identity among the Kashmir population.
