The Iraq experiment and US National security

Article Abstract:

Post Cold War United States emerged with enormous power and unquestioned superiority, but almost immediately Washington became preoccupied with unconventional and asymmetric challenges to it security, its global position, and its regional interests, with its war with Iraq providing is the latest testimony to the status of US national security. The United States' war with Iraq and its implications - limits and legacies, are discussed.

Hurricane Katrina and US energy security

Article Abstract:

Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita demonstrated that American energy security is vulnerable due to the US' over-reliance on availability of cheap petroleum supplies. The US needs enlightened corporate titans, far-sighted policymakers, and individual entrepreneurs alike to pave the path to its energy future.
