Assessment of the nutritional needs of HIV-infected patients living in New York City

Article Abstract:

A descriptive study was conducted, in New York City, to document the met and unmet needs of the persons living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) for nutritional assistance. Three different groups of patients and a group of nutritionists and dietitians who work with HIV-infected patients were surveyed from November 1997 through April 1999.

Assessment of the meal program needs of PLWHA in New York City

Article Abstract:

The unmet meal and food service needs of PLWHA in the New York City's five boroughs are identified by a descriptive study that was conducted between November 1997 and April 1999. The problems faced by PLWHA due to reductions and disruptions in access to food stamps and other resources in the New York City are given.

Factors that influence parents' decision making about enrolling their HIV-infected children in clinical research

Article Abstract:

The factors that parents consider before making any decisions for enrolling their HIV-infected child in any pediatrics HIV clinics are explored. The experiences of the parents of HIV-infected children who had tried to enroll them in the clinical research are given.
