Lacovara leaves amid complaints

Article Abstract:

Philip A. Lacovara, former Watergate lawyer, is resigning as general counsel at Morgan Stanley & Co after charges of sexual harassment. The charges were brought by three women, one Lacovara's secretary. Morgan Stanley and Lacovara maintain that the allegations are unfounded and that his decision to resign predated them. Lacovara had signed a 1991 memo repeating a Morgan Stanley policy opposing sexual harassment.

Teamsters try to block Webster

Article Abstract:

The Teamsters union has protested the appointment of William Webster, former head of the FBI and CIA, to a new anticorruption review board. The teamsters complain that Webster is on the board of Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc, an employer with whom the Teamsters have contracts. They claim that Webster has a conflict of interest and should not be a member of a panel with oversight responsibilities over the Teamsters.
