Law and psychology: a movement whose time has come

Article Abstract:

Law and Psychology has the potential to become a new movement, one that would foster a view of law as a means to promote psychological health. The main areas in which Law and Psychology is being practiced include efforts to humanize the practice of law, promote the use of psychological evidence in the courts, apply psychological insights to substantive law and gain recognition for law's therapeutic effects. Barriers to Law and Psychology becoming a movement include practitioners' isolation from one another, as well as their differences in approach and goals.
