NVQs prompt new NEBOSH diploma

Article Abstract:

The UK's National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health announced its health and safety diploma will be replaced in Sept 1997 by a syllabus. The syllabus will be a two-part diploma program and reflects the need for professional training in higher levels of occupational health and safety procedures. The syllabus is tied to the National and Scottish Vocational Qualifications.

There is much evidence that the quality of social ties between Americans is deteriorating. This is due to Americans' increasing obsession with having an easy life. This need for worldly satisfaction has a corrupting influence to the inner life of the people. The implementation of a natural morality further undermines the traditional relationship between the individual and the community.

Roller and ball-bearing drawer slides are useful when the drawers will contain a heavy weight, but wooden shop-built slides are adequate for most uses. When building drawer slides, it should be remembered that the fit must be exact, and it is advisable to use a table-mounted router for the grooves and slots.
