The US Supreme Court's ruling in Troxel v. Granville is discussed, an ruled against forced visitation with grandparents. The ruling, which came during the court's 1999-2000 term, held that the child-rearing decisions of fit parents trump those of a state judge.and is sure to be cited in challenges to grandparent visitation laws in all 50 states.

The trial must go on; U.S. Supreme Court rejects presidential immunity

Article Abstract:

The US Supreme Court ruled that the immunity afforded public servants for actions arising from their official duties does not extend to unofficial acts and that Paula Jones can therefore sue Clinton for alleged sexual harassment while he was governor of Arkansas. The court also ruled that the separation of powers doctrine did not require immunity for a sitting president, as Clinton's lawyers had contended.
