Protection plan; insurance can give important safeguard against employee claims

Article Abstract:

Various liability policies insurance employers against employment claims. These include commercial general liability; workers' compensation/employers' liability; and directors' and officers', and employment practices liability. Old way to pay for new problem; Y2K costs may be covered under property insurance provisions

Article Abstract:

The article describes how the "sue and labor" provision in many property insurance policies may be used to cover a company's costs of achieving Y2K compliance, thus averting liability policies' disadvantage of only covering third-party claims against companies. Using property insurance coverage for Y2K remediation is the subject of some suits involving high-profile parties.
