The chance to build an instant client base, a key advantage of legal services plans for sole practitioners, is discussed. Sole practitioners and any recent graduates of law school like the plans for this reason. Other pros such as the cross-marketing opportunities should also be mentioned.

Satellites expand your orbit; multiple offices offer convenience for clients and name recognition for solos

Article Abstract:

Sole practitioners with satellite officies can enjoy greater than expected returns. An added benefit of such offices can be a distraction-free work environment and allowing sole practitioners to express their personalities with different office decors. Some technological knowledge is a prerequisite for satellite offices to function well, as sole practitioners must have computer equipment for linking their offices and transferring files back and forth.

Don't take their guff; sever ties with abusive clients before they ruin your practice or your life

Article Abstract:

How sole practitioners can tell when clients have been abusive enough that it is time to sever ties with them if discussed. A client's calling many times before the lawyer agrees to represent them, refusing to give a retainer, and missing the first appointment are some of the ways. Keeping relations with an ex-client friendly may avoid a suit or a disciplinary claim.
