Uniform law for computer info transactions is offered

Article Abstract:

The Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act (UCITA) is designed to become each state's main law for governing computer information transactions, including commercial agreements to create, modify or distribute computer software, multimedia products, and Internet and online information. UCITA is based on the principles that computer information transactions involve primarily licenses rather than sales, that small companies play a large role in such transactions, which involve fundamental free speech issues, and that the law must be technology-neutral.
