Where will they go?

Article Abstract:

The controversy over the right of Palestinian Arabs to return to properties in Israel, their citing UN Resolution 194 which guarantees that right, and their arguments that they deserve compensation such as that granted to Holocaust survivors who lost property are discussed. Privately, Israeli peace activists see the eventual emergence of a binational union of Israel and Palestine.

Making diversity work

Article Abstract:

The need for law firms to develop new strategies to retain minority lawyers after employing them is discussed. Workplace multiculturalism guidelines for law firms to use are listed, including designating a person in the firm leadership to carry out its commitment to diversity, developing a mentoring program, and diversity workshops.

Libel online; suit raises issue of protection for anonymous Web comments

Article Abstract:

A Pennsylvania suit seeking the identity of a person who wrote a libelous Web comment is discussed. The ACLU will argue, if the Pennsylvania Supreme Court hears the case, that public figures in anonymous speech cases that only public figures who have suffered economic loss from criticism can learn critics' identity.
