Article Abstract:

The American state of Oklahoma in 2000 implemented a purchase card program that was hailed as a way to cut costs and make purchases easier. Five years later, an independent, critical analysis of the stateEs purchase card system found that the cards were routinely being used by state troopers for expenses ranging from stays at fancy resorts and hotels to expensive meals that were not backed up by detailed receipts.

Article Abstract:

Sago Mine faced a disaster when 13 miners were trapped inside and rescue workers could not reach them in time, which led to speculation about the state of mine rescue system in the US. A journalist investigating this story of Sago Mine found that all the sources and records pointed out to deficiencies in mine rescue efforts.
