A day at the zoo: political communication, pigs and popular culture

Article Abstract:

Reconciliation between popular culture and modernism is needed to foster a stronger link between constituents and their political representatives. Characterized by sensation and suspicion, popular culture conflicts with the rational self-determinism of modernist politics. Bridging the gap between these two lines of thought will improve the level of communication between constituents and representatives.
