Big bonus corporation

Article Abstract:

British Broadcasting Corporation is laying off almost 3,780 staff members. Mark Thompson, director general of BBC, indicated that such a measure would help the company save approximately 221 million pounds sterling annually. Even though such drastic measures are being resorted to, approximately 10,000 employees of the company have received bonuses that total 15.5 million pounds sterling. In addition, 546,000 pounds sterling was paid to members of the executive board or staff working for BBC Worldwide.
