Ulster Television (UTV) recently acquired a 60 percent stake in radio group County Media, with the intention of becoming a 'broad media player.' UTV, which emphasizes local programming, has a 100 percent penetration in Northern Ireland, with 80 percent of the households in the Republic of Ireland also able to access the broadcaster
