Celtic swings

Article Abstract:

Cable and satellite concern Flextech has recently swopped its 20% stake in HTV for a 20% stake in Scottish TV (STV). Many observers believe that this will form the basis for a full takeover of HTV by STV. The move is also seen as an indication that Flextech has a firm belief in the future of the Scottish market. It is immediately offering STV at least 23 million pounds sterling of national programming work in the next three years, and the deal also offers STV prospects of international expansion in the longer term.

He has made a wide range of acquisitions since he jointed Chrysalis, and most of these have been successful. He admits that he is not talented in day-to-day management, and will employ a chief operating officer for this role.
