Television largely relies on serving up private revelations for entertainment where the outbreak of confessionalitis is becoming contagious, and the political issues are framed in personal terms. This was one of the main topics on BBC4's Dinner with Portillo, wherein the show involving three hours of eating, and talking about politics, privacy and the media.
