Festive interest

Article Abstract:

The seven new national cable television stations which went on the air in Canada in Jan 1995 have already imported many programmes from the UK, and demand looks set to continue to rise. On some stations, imports from the UK already account for up to 60% of programming. They are all targetting specific audiences, and this gives them a particular interest in the highest quality programmes from the UK, especially those with a serious or educational content.
