Article Abstract:

A Task Force was formed in 2002 to evaluate the United States Forest Service's Rise to the Future Initiative to help guide revitalization of the agency's fisheries and aquatic resource programs. The recommendations of the Task Force report address programmatic and strategic objectives, accountability, and staffing and institutional investments needed to ensure the Forest Service can fulfill its responsibilities toward fisheries and aquatic management.

Dispersal of tournament-caught Black-bass

Article Abstract:

Relocation and concentration of fishing tournament release sites is a concern for many fishery management agencies. Published and unpublished estimates show that only 22% of the largemouth bass and 15% of smallmouth bass caught and released in the fishing tournament were subsequently recaptured by anglers.
