Video production and distribution companies are working on ways to sell video content over the internet through video-on-demand systems without compromising their copyrighted material. Encryption, digital watermarks, and fingerprinting are discussed as methods to protect patented material on the internet.

Athens 2004: an Olympian effort

The challenges faced by Athens Olympic Broadcasting and other national broadcasters in covering the Athens 2004 event are discussed. The efforts of the broadcasters participated show that attending billions of viewers around the world in not a trivial issue.
